'Lucy Gould, Alice Neary and Benjamin Frith are delightful partners, clearly having a ball; their enthusiasm is infectious.' Gramophone
The Corbridge Chamber Music Festival is firmly established as the premiere Summer Chamber Music Festival in the North-East. Festival Directors, the Gould Piano Trio and clarinettist Robert Plane, are joined by a number of distinguished guests for three days of glorious music, performed in the heart of one of the county's most picturesque villages.
Gramophone... 'Ravishing in tone and exploiting an excitingly wide dynamic range, Robert Plane forges a commandingly articulate alliance with pianist Benjamin Frith. Indeed, it's hard to imagine more sympathetic music-making.'
Chamber classics sit alongside intriguing new discoveries and concerts can be found happening in St. Andrew's Church (www.corbridgechurch.org.uk) at all times of day, from our ever-popular Family Concert on Saturday morning to an atmospheric late-night performance by candlelight. Corbridge is steeped in history; walk in the footsteps of the Romans at the wonderfully preserved remains of Corstopitum and along Hadrian's Wall. Fine dining, unique shopping...our audience travel the length and breadth of the country to enjoy a satisfying, stimulating and relaxing weekend of music....and much more besides!
'Another weekend of wonderful music making, and for me, excellent cycling!'
Ian Taylor, audience member from Lancashire
'Impossible to describe how much the festival has come to mean to music lovers here.'
